Ryanair has canceled the departure date change fee for all new bookings, which include flights in July and August. The new policy is valid for tickets issued from June 10.
You can change the departure without penalty if the new date includes flights until December 31, 2020.
“We want to give customers as much confidence and flexibility as possible if their plans change, so we removed the change fee,” commented Ryanair Marketing and Digital Technology Director Dara Brady.
The preferential policy is valid if the passenger changes only the date of departure and not the route. Ryanair did not specify whether customers must pay extra fare differences if a ticket on a new date is more expensive than the old one. However, the practice of charging such a difference is standard for many airlines.
Ryanair expects to operate more than 1,000 flights per day from July 1.
