Lufthansa to offer COVID-19 test for passengers

The largest German airline Lufthansa intends to provide passengers with the opportunity to take a test for a new coronavirus before departure.

This was reported on Friday by Der Spiegel, citing its own sources.

The carrier wants to open mobile centers with partners in June or at the very beginning of July for analysis at the airports of Frankfurt am Main and Munich. According to Lufthansa’s plans, the result will be ready in about four hours after passing the test.

According to Der Spiegel, those passengers who will travel to countries where, upon entry, you need to have proof of the absence of the disease, are most likely to be interested in the new service. How much the express test can cost is not reported.
