Helicopter Aktay

Aktai is a light multi-purpose helicopter manufactured since 2009 by the Russian company Kazan Helicopter Plant.

The ultralight aircraft model Aktai began to be designed in the second half of the 90s of the last century. The helicopter was supposed to be made lightweight and multi-purpose, which in turn was to provide the aircraft with a high degree of demand among potential customers. Nevertheless, in the mid-2000s this aircraft made its first flight, which turned out to be very successful, the current model was launched into production only in 2009, however, later, due to problems with upon receipt of the certificate, the aircraft did not begin to be mass-produced.

The Aktai helicopter has a compact size, which, along with the ability to accelerate to high flight speeds, allows it to remain a highly maneuverable aircraft, which was supposed to be used exclusively as a private aircraft.

The standard layout of the Aktai helicopter allows you to place up to three people on board, including one pilot and two passengers, which allows you to use this aircraft as an air taxi, sightseeing, or patrol helicopter, for monitoring oil and gas pipelines, etc. Among other things, the Aktai helicopter can also be considered a commercial aircraft, which is associated primarily with its functionality.

Among other things, the Aktai helicopter is designed in such a way that it can transport up to 240 kilograms of payload on its board, which makes it very functional in terms of its operational capabilities.

Experts do not exclude that this aircraft can also find active application in the military sphere, where the aircraft can be operated as a training helicopter, or as a patrol air vehicle.

The power unit of the Aktai model helicopter consists of one rotary piston aircraft engine PD VA3-4265, which has a thrust of 280 hp, which, taking into account the class of this aircraft, is a very high indicator. Thanks to the use of such a power plant, the Aktai helicopter can accelerate to a maximum speed of 190 km \ h, and carry out flights at distances of up to 400 kilometers, which is acceptable.

Experts suggest that in the future, the Aktai helicopter and its possible modifications will be able to replace light foreign helicopters, in particular, Robinson R-22 and Robinson R-44 models, manufactured by the American aircraft manufacturer Robinson Helicopters, is meant.
