Eurocopter EC 155 B Dauphin is a multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Franco-German concern Eurocopter. Helicopter – a further development of AS365Dauphin helicopters. Initial designation AS365N4. Outwardly similar to its predecessors, it has a much larger fuselage, which made it possible to increase the cargo compartment by almost 40 percent and is equipped with a modern spherical flex rotor and a fenestron tail rotor with a reduced noise level. The dimensions of the cargo compartment are 2.55mx2.10mx 1.54m, and the total volume is 6.8cub.m. The helicopter accommodates up to 12 people in the passenger version and 5-9 people in the VIP version.

The development of the helicopter began in September 1996. The first flight took place on 06/17/1997. The helicopter was first shown at the Paris Air Show in June 1997. At the same exhibition, the first contract was signed with the Norwegian companies Helicopter Services of Norway for the supply of 6 helicopters. 3 serial helicopters were first produced on March 16, 1999. They were put in the German Coast Guard. The beginning of the operation of helicopters dated January 21, 2000. In early 2000, signed contracts for the delivery of 35 EU155 helicopters.
