Eurocopter EC 135 P2i

Eurocopter EC 135 P2i is an example of successful cooperation between German and French aircraft builders, which the German reliable helicopter BO105 supplemented with a Fenestron tail rotor, which was developed by French engineers.

A huge number of composite elements are used in the design of the helicopter, which made it possible to reduce its weight and solve the problem of corrosion of metal elements. With this, the manufacturer was able to achieve a 20 percent reduction in operating costs compared to the BO105 with high technical specifications. The helicopter is distinguished by improved operational characteristics, increased maximum take-off weight, low level of vibration, and external noise in the cockpit, and high maneuverability.

The EC135P2i is equipped with FADEC (Digital Motor Control System) and advanced avionics. The helicopter is ideally suited for use in difficult conditions at subzero low temperatures. The air intake system for the motor is thus designed so that even in the most severe frosts, the air gets into the engines warmed up.
