Eurocopter AS 355 NP Ecureuil

A multi-functional light helicopter, which is equipped with two engines, has fairly low operating costs. Ideal for rescue, aerial work, and passenger transportation. The latter variation meets the stringent requirements for category A, has improved performance and a new type of equipment, namely, VEMD AS355NP is the latest modification of the successful type of twin-engine Ecureuil helicopters. The model is intended to perform various transport tasks in the civilian area.

A two-engine scheme, rare for this class, was installed on the helicopter, thanks to it the helicopter is certified in category A, that is, it is capable of climbing and horizontal flight even if one of the engines fails. It is worth noting that certification in category A is a mandatory requirement for flying in European countries. Also, the power plant of the engine is equipped with FADEC (digital control system), which gives the helicopter additional safety and fuel consumption makes it optimized. AS355NP is considered the most affordable twin-engine helicopter in the world market.

The helicopter is ideally adapted to rather difficult environmental conditions, it can be operated at temperatures from –40 to +35 degrees Celsius. Due to the presence of two engines and the installation of autopilot, the helicopter can be equipped with avionics for flights according to IFR (Instrument Flight Rules). The passenger cabin will comfortably accommodate 3-6 people.
