Emirates Airlines began issuing departing passengers hygiene kits to comply with COVID-19 preventative measures on board. Branded red kits include masks, gloves, antibacterial wipes, and a hand sanitizer.
It is worth noting that currently, the use of masks and gloves is mandatory for passengers and staff at the Dubai International Airport, only masks can be used onboard.
Also, upon arrival at the terminal, passengers undergo a temperature measurement procedure. All lobbies have indicators of adherence to social distance, and at the reception desks, there are transparent barriers to ensure staff safety.
Social distance is also observed onboard – passengers are now staggered in the cabin. All liners undergo intensive disinfection after each flight, toilets – every 45 minutes.
The salons are equipped with advanced HEPA air filters that remove 99.97% of viruses and germs. The sterilization rule applies to dishes and cutlery. From hand luggage to the cabin you can take only a laptop, handbag, briefcase, or children’s things, as well as writing accessories.
It is worth recalling that from May 21 to June 30, 2020, Emirates Airlines will operate flights to the following destinations: London, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney, and Melbourne. All passengers arriving in Dubai from these cities will be placed in self-isolation mode for 14 days.
