At the end of February 2016, the prototype of the Embraer E190-E2 motorized narrow-body aircraft was rolled out in Brazil. The machine was built almost a year and a half after the company created the first metal part for it. On May 24, the Embraer second-generation (E2) E-Jet family aircraft development program achieved yet another important success. On this day, the first flight of the prototype aircraft E190-E2.
E190-E2 aircraft can carry up to 97 passengers in a two-class version or 106 passengers in a single-class layout. The development of the E190-E2 aircraft began in June 2013. Interest in new aircraft showed 640 airlines and leasing companies. At the moment, 267 firm contracts with options for another 373 airliners have been signed on planes.
The Embraer E190-E2 received the new Pratt & Whitney PW1900G (PW1919G) PurePower turbofan geared motors specifically designed for this aircraft by the Canadian company Pratt & Whitney Canada.
In the second generation, the E190 has improved avionics, installed screens measuring 13 by 10 inches. This is 45% more than in the previous E-Jets family. The latest achievements of engineers are implemented in aircraft control: graphical flight planning, SmartView, wireless connection, a more powerful central computer, a new generation of the flight management systems (FMS Flight Management System).

In economy class, a standard 2 + 2 configuration is implemented. Row spacing (pitch) increased from 31 “to 36”. This is 91.4 cm. Of course, a more dense configuration can be made by the order of the airline. The backrest design allows you to install a 12 “tablet entertainment system in a niche pocket for magazines and other print media. An additional lower pocket can also be mounted and dismantled. The chair is equipped with a retractable footrest.
In the first-class cabin, the seats are staggered according to the 2 + 1 scheme or standard 2 + 2. “Chess” gives an additional few centimeters in the area of the body. And in the area of the legs, additional space is needed not in width, but length. The width of the seats is 23 “(58.4 cm). The distance to the seat in front of the seat varies from 91 to 101 centimeters.
