Bell 525 Relentless

Bell 525 Relentless – medium-duty helicopter manufactured by the American aircraft manufacturer Bell Helicopter since 2016.

The first development of the Bell 525 Relentless helicopter began by American engineers and designers in 2010, while the model itself was introduced already in 2012, and in July 2015, this model helicopter was able to successfully pass the first flight tests, in connection with which from 2016 entered production, although it has not yet been officially certified.

Even though officially the Bell 525 Relentless model helicopter is positioned as a medium-duty aircraft, its capabilities are much wider – the developers themselves consider the developed aircraft to be “ultra-high” medium-duty helicopters, and therefore, the helicopter can become quite popular among future customers, which also contributes to a reasonable price.

Depending on the purpose, the Bell 525 Relentless helicopter can accommodate up to 22 people, including two crew members and 20 passengers, which in turn is very practical and allows you to operate the aircraft for a wide variety of purposes, including as a full-fledged passenger helicopter capable of operating on short-haul airlines (the maximum flight range is 925 kilometers). Among other things, as originally conceived by American aircraft manufacturers, the Bell 525 Relentless helicopter can carry quite a large amount of cargo on its board – the payload provided by the developers is 3,700 kilograms, which in turn makes the helicopter a very efficient air vehicle.

The helicopter model Bell 525 Relentless is equipped with a fairly powerful propulsion system, consisting of two General Electric CT7-2F1 turboshaft aircraft engines, each of which is capable of developing a force of 1800 hp, which in turn provides the helicopter with very impressive and acceptable flight performance. The maximum flight speed of an aircraft of this model is limited to 306 km \ h., While the maximum flight height is 6096 m, which is quite a lot for helicopters of this type.

American aircraft manufacturers do not exclude the possibility that the helicopter can subsequently begin to be operated as a military transport aircraft, however, at the moment, before the execution of orders for the civilian sector, we are not talking about this.
