Avicopter AC311

Avicopter AC 311 is a light multi-purpose helicopter, developed by the Chinese aircraft manufacturer Aviation Industry Corporation of China in 2011.

The design of the Avicopter AC 311 helicopter began by Chinese aircraft developers in the second half of the 2000s. The new model of the aircraft was to find multi-purpose use, in particular, the helicopter was supposed to be operated for transporting people, cargo, for patrol and observation flights, as a commercial aircraft, etc.

Initially, the aircraft model Avicopter AC 311 was supposed to be exclusively for military purposes, however, due to the low interest shown, the developers concluded that this model of the aircraft will be able to interest representatives of civil aviation, where, today, this the helicopter is most used.

The Avicopter AC 311 helicopter made its first take-off in 2011 in 2011, after which, thanks to successfully passed tests, the project was put into serial production. Initially, not many customers were interested in purchasing Avicopter AC 311 helicopters, however, according to official data from 2015, 6 aircraft were built by aircraft manufacturers from Aviation Industry Corporation of China, which indicates that the popularity of these aircraft is growing.

Onboard the aircraft model Avicopter AC 311 can accommodate up to 6 people (the indicator depends on the layout of the cabin), which in turn indicates the great promise of these aircraft, with the possibility of widespread use in the commercial field of civil aviation. Among other things, the Avicopter AC 311 helicopter can also transport very large cargoes on its board, the only condition for which is not to exceed the maximum take-off mass of the helicopter of 2200 kilograms and to ensure the appropriate dimensions for placing cargo in the cabin.

Among other things, the aircraft is also expected to begin to be actively used in the military sphere, but not as a combat aircraft, but as auxiliary air equipment (patrolling, surveillance, transportation of people and goods, etc.).

The Avicopter AC 311 helicopter is equipped with a gas turbine power plant consisting of one Turbomeca engine with a capacity of 1080 hp, which, accordingly, provides the helicopter with the possibility of acceleration to a cruising speed of 235 km / h, with a maximum flight range of up to 750 kilometers, which is a very acceptable indicator.
