Avicopter AC310

Avicopter AC310 – a light multi-purpose helicopter, designed in 2011 by the Chinese aircraft manufacturer Aviation Industry Corporation of China.

The design of the multi-purpose aircraft model Avicopter AC310 began by Chinese aircraft manufacturers in the second half of the 2000s. The basis of the aircraft was taken by the German aircraft Schweizer 300, which is very characteristic of the design of this helicopter, however, in general, the aircraft, in terms of its flight performance and functionality, is significantly different from the development of German aircraft manufacturers.

Thanks to the use of the ready-made design project of the Avicopter AC310 helicopter, Chinese aircraft developers managed to significantly reduce the cost of the aircraft, which was one of the reasons for the lower price and increased demand for this model. Also, Chinese aircraft manufacturers from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China facilitated and adapted the design of the aircraft, which in turn provided less cost in the production of helicopters of this model.

At the end of 2011, the Chinese multi-purpose light helicopter Avicopter AC310 was able to make its first scheduled flight, which turned out to be quite successful, which led to the further production of this model aircraft.

Despite the relatively compact dimensions of the Avicopter AC310 helicopter, it can accommodate up to three people, including one pilot and two passengers, however, the current model of the aircraft cannot transport any cargo, except perhaps small objects that can fit in place the passenger. Nevertheless, the Avicopter AC310 helicopter has established itself as a military aircraft capable of patrolling small areas, performing surveillance work, etc. Due to the lack of paired control levers, the Avicopter AC310 helicopter cannot be used as a training tool, however, Chinese aircraft manufacturers did not exclude the possibility of an additional modification of this aircraft, which can train future pilots.

To the greatest extent, today, helicopters of the Avicopter AC310 model are used as private aircraft, which is facilitated by their low cost and quite acceptable technical characteristics.

The Avicopter AC310 helicopter is equipped with a Lycoming H10-360 D1A piston aircraft engine capable of developing a thrust of 180 hp, which in turn allows the helicopter to accelerate to a maximum flight speed of 175 km / h and cover distances of 400 kilometers, which is quite acceptable.
