American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331

American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 is an American ultra-light helicopter designed in 1998 by American Sportscopter.

The development and design of the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 model helicopter began in 1996, while American aircraft manufacturers used the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 254 ultralight aircraft model as a support base, which was successfully tested in 1993 and has proved itself quite well.

Designers from the American Sportscopter company reworked the design of the helicopter somewhat, however, the technical part of the aircraft underwent the most changes, which made it possible to improve the flight performance of this aircraft, making it more popular.

The American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 made its first test flight in 1998, and since the technology for creating ultra-light rotary-wing aircraft was already well developed by American aircraft manufacturers, the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 completed all the required tests, after which it was sent in mass production. Where, however, stayed not so long.

Initially, the release of American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 helicopters was carried out by American aircraft manufacturers as aircraft ready to operate, but later, the release was transferred to the production of self-assembly kits, which minimized the price of one aircraft and increased the attractiveness of the project for potential customers.

The cabin of the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 helicopter has a very compact size, which makes it possible to accommodate only one person here, in particular, we are talking about a pilot. Due to the lack of free space on board, the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 helicopter cannot be adapted for the transport of goods, which somewhat limited its applicability, however, despite this, it did not reduce its popularity.

The ultra-light aircraft American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 is equipped with a power plant consisting of one Hirth 2706 two-cylinder piston aircraft engine capable of developing 65 hp, which in turn provides the aircraft with the ability to accelerate to a maximum flight speed of 165 km \ h. The maximum range of the American Sportscopter Ultrasport 331 is limited to a distance of 240 kilometers, which, given the purpose of this aircraft, is very acceptable.
